Common darter, Sympetrum striolatum

The Common Darter (Sympetrum striolatum) is a widespread and familiar species of dragonfly found across much of Europe, North Africa, and parts of Asia. It is one of the most abundant Sympetrum dragonflies and is often seen well into autumn.
